We celebrated our anniversary there, and the food was amazing! Wagyu was speechless, melted into your tongue, the cold noodle was my favorite, as the meat was a little bit greasy, and the cold noodle balanced the flavor. The sea urchin truffle rice, I love it, ate half, half to go. Overall worth having dinner there.
The reservation is hard to get to make sure you book early, or you may eat at 8 or 9 pm at night.
The experience absolutely depends on how acceptable you are with the wagyu’s fatty content.
I personally like to eat meat with fat so I am okay but my friends were filled within first few bites because the cuts were extremely fatty.
I went for 3 rounds and absolutely loved medium-rare doneness of all the cuts as the meats are so tender that they melt in the mouth. I loved to pair their salads to cut through the fatness and onion and kimchi (house made) really helped.
They cooked the meat for us and they kept sending us salad once they saw that we finished the last plate. I went twice, and am absolutely willing to go for a third time.
Overall the food was cuts of meat were delicious and the service was good.
However i booked it a month in advance and they never mentioned that the menu price changed until we sat down.
They messaged 4 times to reconfirm my reservation, which felt slightly unnecessary.
I think rice should’ve been provided as a complementary side to all the meat or even with the soup we ordered.
They phrased it in the beginning as if it was part of the set. But we only found out it costs 4$ a bowl until I asked.
Overall it was a good experience.
Overall a Great Experience Steak was cooked to perfection each time and staff were very friendly absolutely loved this place. Many reviewers state rice should of been provided but i disagree rice would fill you up and you miss out on being able to try all the cuts of meat. which is why they provide all the complimentary salads included in the prefix. I would say steaks are just amazing but very important to pair with veggies consistently due to the fat content of wagyu. A good problem all be it but one to keep in mind. Even their Deserts are amazing If you are debating on eating on just go for it A5 Wagyu is must try and with all the meat they offer to you here its a no brainer.
Celebrated my birthday there with my fiancé. The meats are amazing melt in your mouth, they provide more than one needs but I’m not complaining.
The side dishes are great and help cut thru the meats
Exquisite cuts of Japanese wagyu that'll melt in your mouth. I believe after the sets, you can order 3 cuts of meat repeatedly, but that much wagyu gets really fatty and heavy, so we couldn't do more than 1 extra round.
Service is incredible as I feel like they have a 1:1 worker to customer. You basically have a personal chef that cooks the meats to your doneness of liking and also recommend pairings for the different cuts. Staff are very knowledgeable of the cuts.
We got our meats cooked rare, and they were really delicious with the red wine and truffle salt. It did get a bit heavy near the end from the richness of the fatty cuts of wagyu.
I personally also really liked the scallion salad as it was flavored well and the acidity of the dressing really helps cut the greasiness of the wagyu
This is definitely just a one-time experience. The waiter low key pressured us into getting the more expensive option (a whopping $165 per person before tax + tip), but honestly it wasn’t worth it. While the beef quality was good, you end up not going through many rounds of encore cuz of how fatty it is. So essentially it’s not really “all you can eat.” While our server was friendly, the person at the front was not the nicest. We arrived a little early and she was so adamant on not letting us in until the exact reservation time even when we told her we had an appointment after. So we just awkwardly stood at the front. When brought into the restaurant, we noticed that there were so many empty tables inside so I don’t understand her attitude. Overall, I’d recommend going to COTE or some other KBBQ place because Hyun is not really worth the price. They charge you for naeng-myun and jjigaes which normally come with the set menu.
We had the tasting menu at the counter and everything was extremely tasty. The tasting course before the meat dishes was one of the best Korea tasting courses I’ve had. The cocktails were amazing as well. I was a little disappointed that they didn’t have beef tongue, but all the meat was amazing, especially the filet mignon. The only downside was that there was way too much food for me. I couldn’t finish all the food, and the items aren’t really things you can bring home.
